After a short drive from your hotel, you will begin with a leisurely stroll around Bao Vinh town, a charming area filled with old merchant houses and a lively market selling everyday goods. Meanwhile, the town’s nostalgic atmosphere invites you to stop for a local-style tea break and observe the slow-paced rhythm of traditional life.
Soon after, join the local women wearing palm leaf conical hats as you board a ferry together. This short ride takes you across the water to the nearby handicraft villages, where you’ll hop on a bicycle and cycle along peaceful paths lined with blooming flowers and endless rice fields.
As part of the experience, visit a local artisan crafting Thanh Tien paper flowers—a unique art form used in both festivals and daily offerings. Not only will you learn about the cultural and ritual meanings of these vibrant decorations, but you’ll also try crafting one yourself to take home as a souvenir.
In addition, your journey continues through authentic scenes of rural life, passing households that still produce traditional items like incense sticks, roasted kernels, votive paper, and more. Eventually, you’ll arrive at a family workshop, where Mr. Ky warmly welcomes you and shares his lifetime of dedication to xylographic printing, the traditional method behind the famous Sinh Village paintings made with natural colors.
Finally, a visit to a centuries-old pagoda brings deep insight into the local spiritual path. Here, you’ll discover how many locals seek wellness and protection through Buddha’s teachings.
To end the journey, a traditional dragon boat awaits to gently carry you back toward modern life.
